Marjorie M. Cullifer, 97 of Palmyra, Missouri (formerly of Knox County, Missouri), passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at the Sunset Home, Quincy, Illinois. She was born April 17, 1917 in Trenton, Missouri, the daughter of Herbert and Pearl Hart Troxell. Marjorie and her husband Lloyd worked on the family farm in Knox County, Missouri were they raised their family. She was baptized into the Christian Church and attended church regularly when she could. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She married Lloyd C. Cullifer, December 24, 1934 in Paris, Missouri, he preceded her in death October 30, 2005. Survivors include two daughters: Leta F. Ragan and husband Robert, Palmyra, Missouri; and Shirley I. Feld, Quincy, Illinois. Two sisters: Elsie Miller and Alpha Jarman and husband Jim both of Monroe City, Missouri. Six grandchildren: Mike Power, Mark Power, Eric Power, Shelly Swift and Melodie Pryor. She is also survivied by 15 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great Grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson Curtis Ragan, two brothers Dale Troxell and Bill Robertson. Graveside funeral services will be held 10:00 am Friday, November 7, 2014 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Hunnewell, Missouri, Rev. Robert Axton will officiate. Visitation will be from 8:30 am until 9:45 am Friday at the Garner Funeral Home, Monroe City, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Mike Power, Mark Power, Eric Power, Brian Swift, Rick Pryor and Robert Ragan. Memorials have been suggested to the American Cancer Society or the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
