Harris, "Mary" Jane of Jackson, passed away at the age of 87 on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert Harris. Just 18 days ago. She is survived by her children, Marilyn (Tom) Curtis, Judy (Jim) Smith, Dennis (Marion) Harris, step-daughters, Barbara (Pete) Anderson and Sandy (Leonard) Grimes; six grandchildren; eleven great- grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Biefer of Tennessee as well as many loving family members and friends. Mary was born in Jackson, on September 18, 1926 to Carl and Luella Bates. She graduated from Jackson High School and then studied nursing. Mary enjoyed an active life of camping, fishing, square dancing and traveling. She worked at Nobles shoe store part time and retired from Schafer's Dry Cleaners, after many years of service.
