She was the daughter of Jeffie James and Gertie (Meeks) Buck. On Apr 9, 1938, she married Menford H. "Bud" Strand, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda (Arthur) Fleck, Spencerville; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are five brothers: Fred, Don, Harlan, Spencer and Pleas; and five sisters: Oma (Guffey) Dicke, Roxie Hurst, Fonzie Rigsby, Lena Savage and Alta Bowlin.
She worked at Artex, International Brake and various other jobs, she was a hard working women in nature. She was one of the kindest, generous, most caring people you would ever meet. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and everyone whose life she had touched.
Services will be at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services, Eastside Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Hall officiating.
