Alice Faye Blackmon, 77, of Rye, Texas, passed away, Friday, October 31, 2014, in Humble, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2014, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale, Texas. Services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Forest Grove Christian Church in Forest Grove, Texas, with Pastor Lance Walch officiating.

Alice was born in Rockdale, Texas, to the late Clarence E. and Alice (Nickels) Alford. She attended Missouri City High School. On September 18, 1953, she married George Windell and they were married for 27 years. Alice enjoyed playing softball and pitching. She never forgot a face, a birthday or a good story. She loved watching hummingbirds, squirrels, blue jays, and redbirds. Most of all she loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Alford; and grandsons, Chris Michael Lynchard and Justin Keith Johnson.

Survivors include her daughters: Jacqueline Barrilleaux and life partner, Betty Trumble, Lavenia Kline and husband, William, and Gena Blackmon; sons: Steve Blackmon and wife, Lisa, Kenneth Blackmon and wife, Pamela, and Keith Blackmon; 29 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Twila Gibson, Rita Oliver and husband, Roy, and Rose Shelton and husband, Steve; brothers, George Alford and wife, Donna, and Curtis Alford and wife, Linda; other relatives and many friends.
