Services for Don Edwards, 61, were at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, at the New Testament Christian Church in Mound City. The Rev. Harvey Elder officiated with Rev. Steven Elder assisting.

Mr. Edwards, the son of Homer and Nellie Hodgins Edwards, was born April 2, 1907, at Fortescue, Mo. He graduated rom the New Point High School and was a lifelong resident of the Mound City community. On Jan. 30, he suffered a fatal heart attack while driving a truck on Interstate 29, near the Holt county line.

Mr. Edwards was a farmer and trucker. He was a member of the New Testament Christian Church and the Mound City Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Zelma Edwards of the home; a son, Carroll L. Edwards of St. Charles, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara A. Barnes, St. joseph; a sister, Mrs. Zepha Tillery, Kansas City; five grandchildren, Michael L., Marcia E., Mary A., and Mark A. Edwards and Lisa Ann Barnes; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by mother, father, a brother and stepmother.

Pallbearers were James R. Schoonover, Charles Gillis, Audrey Heck, Bane Drewes, Walter Brown, and Loy Costner.
