Shirley Ann Barteaux -
The home of Mr. and Mrs. Robie Barteaux, Torbrook Mines, was saddened when their fifteen months old daughter, Shirley Ann, passed away on December 20, after a short illness. She leaves to mourn her loss her parents, one sister Betty 5, two brothers, Phillip 3, and John, 4 weeks, also grandparents, Mr. and Norris Banks, and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Barteaux; a number of uncles, aunts and cousins. Funeral service was held from the United Church on Friday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. D.C. Boothroyd, assisted by Rev. A.G. McClare of Nictaux. Hymns sung were “Asleep in Jesus” and “Jewels,” a solo by Mrs. Varner of Kingston. The floral tributes were beautiful. Pallbearers were Clyde Neily, Carrol Armstrong, Cecil Uhlman and Rex Barkhouse. Interment was in the family lot adjoining the church.
