Raimund was the 6th child born to Johann Josef Iseke and Franziska Nolte Iseke. He grew up to marry Bischofferode Luise Pfafferott. Bischofferode was born Mar. 5, 1833 and died July 4, 1886 in Holungen. They had 9 children together during their life time, but only 7 grew to adulthood. The children were as follows Raimund born Apr. 21, 1854, Hermann born Mar. 9, 1856 (became a priest), Maria Anna born Dec. 11, 1857, Johannes born 1860, Maria born Sept. 23, 1862, Katharina b. unk., and Franz b. Sept. 27, 1865 (became a priest).
All of the above were born in Holungen and grew up in the Iseke home that has been passed down through the family since Johann Josef Iseke moved into the home.
Raimund was buried in the cemetery in Holungen, but the grave has been removed long ago. His two sons who became priests were buried in the church yard and their graves have survived. See crosses on Hermann's memorial.
