Aaron & "Mattie" Isaacs old home place as of 1984, which was about 20 years after their deaths. When this photo was taken, their son, Earl, was residing there and with him continuing to do so until he also passed away in 1997.

Photo taken with the view being of where I lived taken from my Grandparent's Homeplace. Photo was taken in May 1994 about 30 years from Aaron's & Martha's "Mattie" passing. My Uncle Earl was living in their homeplace at this time and the vegetable garden was his.

Seven of the first 10 children born to Aaron Wesley & Martha "Mattie" Alice Ashley Isaacs. Their names, oldest to youngest, "Coy", "Brown", Cozy, Annar, Sadie, Maude, and Bertie. Afterwards, Burnett, Earl, and Maggie were born.

Four Of The 10 Children of Aaron & Martha Ashley Isaacs. They are Bertie and Burnett in the back and Earl & Maggie in the front. Maggie(my Mother) was the youngest child and is the only one still alive today of the 10 children. May 16, 2006 she will be 87 years old.

Laura Matilda Isaacs Johnson was a younger sister to Aaron W Isaacs. She was born in 1881 and died in 1965. She was married to Sherman Johnson.

+Obituary of AW Isaacs+ Aaron had a daughter named Anner that passed away years before. Her name was not listed in the Obituary. Also, Bertie was listed, but she left home for work out of town and they never saw her again. The last they heard from her she said she was in Baltimore,Md. That was years ago. The family worried about her so much over the years as to what happened to her and as with never being given any sort of closure to her disappearance. It was very difficult for my Grandmother, as I can even remember her speaking of Bertie. My Mother has told me that before the disappearance, my Grandfather would take her and another sister by horse and wagon to the train that ran a little distance from thier home to catch the train to take them back to Tenn. for work. My Mother said after Bertie did disappear that my Grandmother would just cry when she would hear the train going by on the tracks while blowing the whistle. Of course she was thinking of her daughter, Bertie.

Aaron's next to the oldest son,"Brown" and his wife, Myrtle, their daughter, Martha Ann, and Richard Isaacs. Brown and his family lived in San Diego, Calif. as he spent many years in the Navy there and then retiring.
