Jean Lotsko Ochman, age 81, of Fairfield, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2009, at Bridgeport Hospital. Jean was born in Bridgeport, to the late Joseph and Jenny Benitz Lotsko, and had been a Fairfield resident for most of her life. A former real estate broker for Herbert Smith Real Estate, Jean worked as an administrative assistant for Fairfield University until her retirement. In her early years, Jean was a talented singer, and performed professionally in several local big bands, opera, and as a soloist for St. Thomas Church. Jean enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and gathering various collectibles, including butterfly pins, dolls, coins, and beanie babies. She was a devoted mother who often looked for opportunities to help others. She will be remembered by her children, Edward Ochman, Jr., and his wife, Priscilla, of Branford, Linda Williamson, and her husband, Thomas, of Windsor, Vt., Joseph Ochman, of Los Angeles, Calif., Cynthia Jean Ochman, of Kingsport, Tenn., Thomas Ochman, of Fairfield; five grandchildren; several cousins.
