KEYES, Okla. — Louis Martinez, 87, of Keyes died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, in Dodge City, Kan.

Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Sunday in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Elkhart, Kan. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in the church with the Rev. Francis Khoi Nguyen as celebrant. Burial will follow in Willow Bar Cemetery in Keyes. Arrangements are by Garnand Funeral Home of Elkhart.

Mr. Martinez was born June 21, 1927, in Barney, N.M., to Aniceto and Rosenda Montoya Martinez. He married Virginia Marquez on Nov. 29, 1947, in Clayton, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gilbert Martinez of Amarillo, Texas, Leonard Martinez of Foss, and Virgil Martinez of Keyes; three daughters, Cathy Forbes of Ulysses, Kan., Connie Boese of Amarillo and Ruby Martinez of Elkhart; two brothers, Severo Martinez of Texline, Texas, and Conrad Martinez of Keyes; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
