Shirley Madola Moser

March 14, 1923 – July 19, 2014

Shirley Madola (Reynolds) Moser was born in Grand Junction, Colorado, the 5th of 8 children born to Ray Halsey Reynolds and Ada Pearl Taylor Reynolds of New York. She was the last of her siblings to pass. It was her desire to live to be 126 but that desire was not achieved because her beautiful and strong body failed her.

Mom's mother passed away when Mom was 5 years old at which time life became a challenge for her father and siblings. They often were separated in order for them to survive, but never lost touch and always had the strong bond of family first and foremost. She always encouraged her children, grandchildren and everyone she met to always communicate with each other, even if it was only on occasion. As you all know, our Mother never knew a stranger and helped to raise many children (and some adults, LOL) that all called her Grandma. If you knew our Mom like we did, you know "what we are talkin' about!" She loved and cared deeply for all of those who touched her life, even for a short time.

Mom married Homer Virgil Bryant at the age of 16 and together they had 9 children. They lived in Colorado and Idaho during their 18 years of marriage. Along with raising her children she spent many years cooking for the crews on the farm, working in the fields picking spuds and any other farm work necessary.

Mom then married Glen Brim. The fact that there were still 5 children living at home was not a problem, so they added 3 more children to our family. Mom welcomed each and every one of her babies with open arms and loved us all unconditionally. She gave her all to us and provided the best she could.

Mom then met and married Dell Murri, they had 33 years of marriage. Together they finished raising her family and she embraced his grown children as her own. They spent 9 years living in Lewiston, Idaho and traveled with the family to Oregon and down to Twin Falls each year to vacation. Life was stable and she sewed, quilted and canned, spent time with the relatives and friends like never before. She was always the first person everyone in our family called with our woes, joys and life information, and then she passed it on to everyone else. "Kinda like a real live answering machine!" We learned that if we wanted to know anything about anyone in the family, we just needed to call Mom because she would already know the answers. She cared for Dell at his time of passing in their home and never questioned any other option. As you can imagine, our family rallied and supported all her efforts. She was teased about the lyrics, "I am woman, I am Strong" but in reality it was the absolute truth when it came to our beloved and beautiful Mom.

Her final adventure in life started when she married Conley Moser. It was a whirlwind romance and the dance lasted 12 years. They danced their hearts out, pitched horseshoes, went fishing, went to Jackpot, bowled and bowled and bowled! Trips to National Bowling Tournaments were an exciting time for them both. Mom was inducted into the Twin Falls Women's Bowling Association's "Hall of Fame," and honored for all her years of bowling and friendship with the women and men alike. She was surprised and honored.

Mom is survived by her husband, Conley Moser, children, Betty Higman, Kingston, Wa., Bonnie Coleman, Grand Junction, Co., Wally (Carolina) Reynolds, Ridgefield, Wa., Ada Perrine (Ellis Robertson), Twin Falls, Id., Harvey (Debbie)Bryant Oceanside, Ca., Andre Brim, Teresa (Don) Charbonneau, Ray Reynolds all of Twin Falls, Id., one brother in-law Vic Doolittle. Her step children; Russell Murri of Phoenix, Sharon Brown of Wa., Cary & Debbie Moser, Shirley and Larry Beezley of Twin Falls. She had 24 Grandchildren, 37 Great Grandchildren and 16 Great Great Grandchildren. There are also numerous "step" children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, too many to name them all. In fact I'm not sure any of us could name them all. Please know that she cared for all of you as you were one of her own children.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, her brothers and sisters in-law: Ted (Sophia) and Leemon (Clara) Reynolds & infant Robert Reynolds. Sisters and brothers in-law: Bernice (Neal) Selle, Flora (Ed) Doolittle, Goldie (Guerdon) Dotts and Adalyne Doolittle. Four children; Louise, Theo & Larry Bryant & Belle Fillmore, two nieces; Donya Machacek & April Brooks. Three Grandsons, Billy Joe Reynolds & Emmett Brooks & Michael Goodson.
