During WWII he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from Crum & Forster Insurance Group where he was Manager of Property and Commercial Multiple Peril lines.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie S. Zalman. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Zalman of Houston; sisters, Mrs. Martha Vasek of Pearland and Mrs. Emma Meyer of LaGrange; brother, Jerry Zalman of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one niece; and two nephews.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at Earthman Bellaire Chapel, 6700 Ferris. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 10330 Hillcroft. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Lawndale.
