He was married twice:
1) May 5, 1942 Lynn County, Texas - Zora Faye Harris.
2) About1956 - Mary Frances "Mickey" Jamett.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Frances "Mickey" (Jamett) Bartley.
Jake is survived by a son, Gerald from his first marriage to Zara Faye Harris.
Burial is in the Malvern Cemetery at Malvern, Mills County, Iowa.
