He is survived by his children, Michelle Simons Breaux, Joshua Simons, Jared Simons and Seth Simons, siblings, Mildred Beningfield, and Dannie Simons, grandchildren, Dylan Simons, zane Simons, Aidan Mikulenka, Kensington Mikulenka and Effrum Simons.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery.
