OBITUARY: Mrs. Anna Stein Was Buried at Lund July 7

Anna Emelia Swenson Stein was born January 6, 1881 in Sätter, Sunne, Värmland, Sweden. She came to America in 1900 at the age of 19 years. She was converted in Chicago at the Bethany Methodist Home.

On January 6, 1903 she was united in marriage to Levi Stein of Pepin and to this union were born three sons, Henry and Roy of Pepin, and Lawrence of Minneapolis, and one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Edith) Cooke of Harcourt, Iowa.

Mrs. Stein was a member of the Lund Mission Covenant Church for many years. Her husband passed away last November and she was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister in Sweden.

After a short illness, she passed away on July 5 at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 29 days.

Funeral services were conducted last Wednesday afternoon from the Lund Mission Church with Rev. A. Bergman and Adolph Julin in charge. Mrs. Wallace Halling and Miss Edith Johnson rendered several selections with Mrs. Halling at the piano. Interment was in the church cemetery with David Hoffman, Arthur Sundberg, Carl Nelson, Henning Erickson, Roland Johnson and Adolph Julin as pallbearers.

Among those from out of town present for the services were Mr. and Mrs. Emory Gustafson and Marvin of Harcourt, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. John Peterson, Mrs. Selma Sundquist, Mrs. Ellen Peterson and Mrs. and Mrs. Clarence Bohlig of Minneapolis, Mrs. Leland Hanson of Red Wing and Mrs. and Mrs. Fred Borgwardt of Alma.
