AIRPLANE CRASH VICTIMS' BODIES BROUGHT HOME
Arnold Services Saturday at 2:30; Fort Rite Friday

Dr. John Jacob Arnold, 34, New Castle veterinarian and owner of the Arnold Laboratories here, who met death yesterday along with Frank Fort., Jr. 26, an employee, when the plane Arnold was piloting crashed northeast of Greencastle along US-36 was not unacquainted with the territory where the accident occurred for he was born and reared in Putnam County.
Supposition is he was trying to find a landing spot when the plane ran into an April snow flurry while en route to Springfield, Illinois.
The body of Dr. Arnold is at the Davis funeral home where friends may call after 1 oclock Friday afternoon. Services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2:30 oclock in the First Methodist church. Burial will be in South Mound cemetery.
Dr. Arnold is survived by the widow, Mrs. Imogene Arnold; four children, Charles, Ronald, John J. II and Patricia Ann; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Schuyler Arnold, who reside in Putnam county, not far from the scene of the fatal crash; two brothers, Ralph Arnold of near Stilesville and Ronald Arnold of Mollalla, Oregon and two sisters, Mrs. Percy Horn of Fort Collins, Colo., and Mrs. Dick Owen of near Stilesville.
