Service of Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Irene Kisling, 98, of Enid, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, at Golden Oaks Retirement Center Chapel. Pastor Gary Lillie will officiate. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, Burlington, Okla.
Irene was born Oct. 20, 1915, in Burlington, Okla., the daughter of Conrad and Lizzie Schlurbach Kraft, and passed away Oct. 17, 2014.
She was a graduate of Burlington High School. Irene was united in marriage to Ralph Kisling Aug. 7, 1936, in Cherokee, Okla. He preceded her in death June 24, 1998.
She and her husband owned and operated two drug stores in Nash and Burlington, Okla. She was a member of Willow Road Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Rae Shaw and her husband Bob of Enid; three grandchildren, Roger Hayes of Oklahoma City, Larry Hayes and his wife Beverly of Sanger, Texas, and Ronda Isaacs and her husband Terry of Oklahoma City; and three great-grandchildren, Clare, Rachel and Joshua.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sandra Sparks; and 11 brothers and sisters.
