Marilyn L. Francis, 81, of Chillicothe, passed fro this life on Friday afternoon, October 17, 2014 in Westmoreland Place following an extended illness. She was born in Chillicothe on August 7, 1933, the daughter of Arthur and Bessie (Grow) Dickerson.

In 1974 she married Charles E. Francis who survives; also surviving are daughters, Karen Cox, Chillicothe and Bonnie (Kenneth) Bowsher, Pittsburg, PA; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a brother; Bob Dickerson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Kathe Ours, sons, John Carroll and George Carroll; two grandchildren; sisters, Joann Duhl and Mildred Kight and brothers, Bill Duhl, John Dickerson, Gene Dickerson, Jim Dickerson, Paul Burns and Clyde Burns.

Marilyn was a retired employee of Mead Paper with over 30 years of service. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Shane Browning officiating. Calling hours will not be observed THE FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
