R.C. Drury, 93, of Lawrenceburg passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. Born April 1, 1921, he was the son of the late Clarence and Rebecca Durr Drury.

He was a retired 40 year employee of General Electric and a member of the Fox Creek Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Jean Webb Drury; two grandchildren, Andrea (Justin) McDiarmid of Independence, KS, and James (Clellie) Lewis of Lawrenceburg; four great grandchildren, Mark and Javan Freeman, Dylan McDiarmid, and Catelyn Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his two daughters, Diana Faye Drury Dean and Mary Jo “Jodie” Drury; two sisters, Hazel Wainscott and Hattie Smith; three brothers, Asa, Amos, and Edward Drury.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, Oct. 6th at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Don Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 4 – 7 pm Sunday.
