William (Tommy) Burton

Squires, MO

Tommy Burton, 78 years, 2 months, and 4 days old, passed to heaven on October 17, 2014 at home with his family by his side.

Tommy was born August 13, 1936 in Squires, MO to James and Lillie Mae (Wilson) Burton . He graduated from Ava High School and lived in Squires his entire life.

William and Janice Sue Springs were united in marriage on November 13th, 1970 in Ava at the house of Pastor Tom Johnson and to this union three children were born.

Tommy was a cattle farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working cattle. He like to go to the sale Barn and visit with friends. His grandchildren were his greatest joy.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Virgle, Johnny, and Jessie, and four sisters, Mae, Elva, Dessie, and Neva.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife Janice, three sons, Ronnie, Mike and wife Brandy, and Doug, eight grandchildren, Courtney, Cory, Weston, Aaron, Tristin, Levi, Ethan, and Emma, as well as many neices, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services for William will be Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Frye Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Roberts. Memorials may be made to Frye Cemetery.
