W. B. Counts, age 82, of 102 Iris Street, Decherd, died October 16 at his residence. He was a retired L & N Railroad engineer. He was the son of John Henry and Annie Lee Faulkner Counts. A World War II veteran, he was a Lincoln County native and a member of First United Methodist Church of Decherd. Survivors include his wife, Nola Counts, of Decherd; two daughters, Kay Etheridge of Eagleville and Rita Isbell of Decherd; a sister, Lille Mae Hart of Chesapeake, Virginia; two grandchildren and one niece. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, October 18 at 11 a.m. from Watson-Gamble Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Nunley officiating. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Gardens.
