ELDON JOHN ACTON
Eldon John Acton, son of the late Fred Acton and Mrs. Irene Acton, collapsed on a bus in Vancouver, B.C. a week ago Monday and later died.
He was in his 46th year and as a boy attended the 6th line Public School, before entering Watford District High School.
After attending Westervelt Business College in London, for one year he joined the Confederation Life Insurance Co., staff in that City.
Later he moved to Brantford where he worked for 14 years before being transferred to Winnipeg.
His next stop was at Windsor being employed there for three years. He had only moved to Vancouver a month ago.
Mr. Acton is survived by one sister Mrs. Ronald Grieve (Margaret) of Essex and two brothers Carmen of Corunna and Raymond of Sarnia.
A brother Keith died five years ago while service with the Air Force in Germany and another brother Duncan also predeceased him three years ago.
Funeral service was held in Vancouver last Tuesday with a Memorial service being held the following day at Cortam Baptist Church, near Essex, with Rev. Dalymore officiating.
