Services for Grady Alton “Buck” Bailey, 86, of Belton will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 18 at First Baptist Church in Belton with Pastor Andy Davis officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.
Mr. Bailey passed away Wednesday at his home.
Grady was born on April 28, 1928 in Lufkin to the late Burgin and Maurine (Cox) Bailey. He married Anna Marie Moore on June 10, 1950 in Belton. Grady was a lifetime resident of Central Texas having lived in Belton, Nolanville and Austin. In 1975 he retired from the Texas Department of Transportation after 25 years of dedicated service. After retirement he continued his career as a real estate broker, he was a well-known agent in the area for over 50 years. Grady was a member of the First Baptist Church in Belton. Grady was a member of The Gideon’s since 1973.
Survivors include his wife, Anna, of Belton; a son, Ronald Bailey of Belton; a brother, Robert Bailey of Belton; 2 sisters, Margaret Allsup of Waco and Lydia Baise of Farmersville; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Belton Building Fund, 506 N. Main St., Belton, TX 76513 or The Gideon’s International, PO BOX 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.
The family will receive visitors Friday, October 17 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Heartfield Funeral Home Chapel in Belton.
