Mrs. Anna Schumann dies at Hospital in Alton
A 60 mile motor boat trip last week from Calhoun County to Alton so that she might enter St. Joseph's Hospital to undergo an operation was unavailing to save the life of Mrs. Anna Bader Schumann, wife of Charles Schumann of Kampsville and her death ensued at 6 pm Sunday after peritonitis developed. Mrs. Schumann was a native of Kampsville and was 49 years of age. Her body will be taken to Kampsville for funeral and interment. The funeral party will go by way of Eldred, thus making the greater part of the journey by rail.
