Adam Kemmer Dies of Heart Ailment at Home of Son
A heart ailment was the cause of the sudden death of Adam Kemmer Wednesday at the home of his son, Nick J. Kemmer and family, where he had been a guest for about three weeks. He was 63 years of age.
Mr. Kemmer, an industrious and honorable man, was a resident of this section and farmed in the section north of Headlight Butte until 1928 when he and the family moved to Seattle. He was employed at Boeing Aircraft for several years then purchased a small dairy ranch near Kent, Wash.
He was born in Jugoslavia in 1883 and came to the United States in 1907, first to Kansas. In 1916 he came to Cut Bank. In 1902, five years before coming to the United States he was married to Barbara Gimpel.
Those surviving besides his widow, are two sons, Otto of Glendale, Calif., and Nick of the Cut Bank section; daughter, Mrs. Katherine Johnson of the Cut Bank section; two brothers, Nick of Seattle and Jake of Cut Bank; and a sister, Mrs. Katherine Butler of Billings.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at nine o'clock at St. Margaret's church with Rev. Father G. H. Hietpas officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill.
