Leroy Davis was born on September 26, 1946 in Midville, Georgia to the late Willie and Lizzie Davis. He moved to Florida in his early childhood and attended Broward County Public Schools and graduated from Dillard High class of 1964 and then attended Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina.
"Dave" as he was known retired after twenty-two years of service as a Head Facilities Service worker from Broward County Public Schools.
"Dave" was a superb athlete, who enjoyed fishing, reading mystery novels and crossword puzzles. He will always be remembered as a generous and a kind-hearted person who was willing to help in any way he could.
Later in life he was led to Christ, by his oldest grandchild, Brandon. "Dave" leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Anna B. Davis of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl two daughters, Enid Davis and La-Faris (Gene) Dooling of Ft. Lauderdale. FL: two brothers Willie Davis who proceeds him in death and John (Julia) Davis of Ft. Lauderdale; one sister Mary Davis of West Palm Beach, FL;
He was fortunate to have four grandchildren, Brandon Joe, Javier Frazier Sr., Natalie and Nigel Dooling; three great-grandchildren, Javier Frazier Jr., Michael Cunningham Jr. and Chiyan Frazier and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Our family would like to especially thank The Thomas' family and the United for Life Ministry who helped tremendously during his time of need.
