Doyle Akins, 68, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma died Wednesday, September 21, 2005, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He worked for Safeway for 32 years as a store manager. He was a member of Quail Unlimited. He attended First Assembly of God in Sallisaw. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geraldean (Vincent); two brothers, Carl and Thurman Akins; a niece Cathy Boyd, and a nephew, Don Akins.

Funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 24, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Spiro City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.

He is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law Tony; one son; two sisters; two brothers; and five grandchildren.
