He was born in Lamont, Ia., Dec. 27, 1863, the son of the Rev. Edward D. and Sarah Rowland Rosa, but removed to Wellsville at the age of nine.
He married Laura Brown on Sept. 7, 1887.
She survives, with two daughters, Mrs. Helen Piper, Syracuse, and Miss Mary Rosa, Wellsville, several relatives and many friends in Elmira.
Funeral service will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday in the Methodist Church, at Wellsville with the Rev. Ernest E. Davis, Rochester, former pastor, officiating.
Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery at Wellsville.
