A homicide occurred at Washoe City on Saturday evening, the substance of which, according to the imperfect account which has reached us, is as follows: One Dodge, a teamster, visited a gambling place kept by a man named Doc. Kimball, a faro dealer, and engaged in betting at that game. Dodge was successful, and as a consequence Kimball became irritated, and a quarrel ensued, which ended in Dodge being struck over the head with a slung shot in the hands of Kimball, and the latter's being cut with a bowie-knife in the hands of Dodge. Kimball was so severely cut that he died in a few moments. (Sacramento Daily Union, 2/9/1866)
