She was born on May 7, 1925, in Bowlegs, Okla., to Oscar and Jessie Butler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Odie Pate; brothers Nolen and Buddy Butler; sisters Betty Blaylock and Jewel Butler.
She is survived by sisters, Lucille Ledbetter and Sammie Reed and husband Don; daughters, Muriel McAlister and husband Clyde, Hurst, Texas, Peggy Schlinke, Hurst, Texas, Terry Wallace, Bedford, Texas, and Karen Goforth and husband Robert, Pilot Point, Texas; her beloved grandchildren, Steve McAlister, Brad McAlister and wife D'Lana, Paige Wallace, Whitney Wallace, Natasha Goforth, Kassidy Goforth and Derek Goforth and wife Jordan.
Services will be Friday, April 24, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home Chapel.
