Harry A. Brechbill, 78, of 3575 Edenville Road, died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 1994, in Franklin County Nursing Home, where he was a resident for three Weeks.

Born June 17, 1916, in Hamilton Township, he was a son of the late Solomon and Anna Mary Baker Brechbill.

He Was a 1935 graduate of Chambersburg High School.

A self-employed painting contractor, he retired from the Chambersburg Hospital.

He was a member of Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church and its Berean Sunday School Class, and had served as an usher for many years.

A member of American Association of Retired Persons Chapter 1507, he was active member of Chambersburg Community Male Chorus.

Mr. Brechbil was a volunteer for the American Red Cross. He and his wife also did volunteer work at Messiah Village Nursing Home, Mechanicsburg.

Surviving are his wife, Catharine Musser Brechbill; a daughter, Linda B. Secrist of 3571 Edenville Road; two grandchildren; a sister, Carrie L. of 691 Sollenberger Road; and a brother, A. Roy of 1055 S. Main St.

Burial will be Saturday in Air Hill Cemetery.
