Wayne Emory Allard

DAWSON—Wayne Emory Allard funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Dawson Methodist Church for Wayne Emory Allard, 63, who died Saturday in a Waco hospital.

The Rev. Haldor Duncan and Rev. Orris Sougstead will officiate with burial in Dawson Cemetery.

Eubanks Funeral Home of Hubbard is in charge of the services.

Husband of Jessie Mae (Birchfield) Allard; son of Charles D. Allard & Magarette "Maggie" (Cherry) Allard.

A resident of Dawson the past 50 years, he served as editor of the Dawson Herald for 20 years and as justice of the peace for an additional 12 years.

He was a retired captain in the U. S. Army, serving in World War 11 and the Korean War.

2nd Lt. Wayne Allard, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Allard, Dawson.

Married the former Jessie Mae Birchfield of Dawson.

A 1932 Dawson High School graduate, he entered the U. S. Army in 1941.

Served in the 137th Army Radio Intelligence Corps overseas for 3 years.

After the war served in the Occupational forces in Italy. Retired from the Army on August 31, 1953.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Mae Allard of Dawson; one son, David Wayne Allard of Bryan; two brothers, David Allard of Tyler and Garland Allard of Corpus Christi; and one sister, Mrs. Marguerite Champion of Arizona.
