Son of James R. Ault and Mary Billhaymer. Married first to Nora D. Blystone on 2 Jan 1887 and second to Rosa A. Schimmel on 26 Sep 1891. Obituary: Andrew Ault Struck By Car on Road 29. Frankfort, IN., Aug. 27 (Tribune Special) Andrew Jackson Ault, 79 a retired Clinton county farmer, was killed instantly about 5:15 o'clock Wednesday evening in front of his home one mile south of Michigantown on state road 29, when he was struck by an automobile driven by Miss Bernice Martin, 39, 2431 North Talbot street, Indianapolis. According to the report given by Miss Martin to Coroner Howard Moore who was called to investigate, she was driving south to Indianapolis in her coupe and saw the man standing in the lane alongside his home. She said he stepped to the middle of the road, then stopped and as she swung her car to the side in an attempt to avoid hitting him, he again stepped out into the path of the car. The man received a fractured skull and both legs were broken. The body was removed to the Goodwin funeral home in Frankfort where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a. m. (d.s.t), with the Rev. Floyd McClain in charge. Burial will be in Whiteman cemetery, near Michigantown. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.
