Albert Penix

MOULTRIE -- Albert Penix, 86, of Moultrie died Friday, March 4, 2005, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Services ...held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Sinner Friend Baptist Church with the Rev. W.B. Sales officiating. Burial ...followed at Sinner Friend Cemetery. Tony Penix, Greg Ward, C.A. Sanders, Chris Herring, Reggie Bell and Charlie Sanders will serve as pallbearers.

Born March 16, 1918, in Dodge County, Mr. Penix was the son of the late William Cicero Penix and the late Janie Oliver Penix. He was a retired farmer. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lillie Pearl Penix Herring; three brothers, Buddy Penix, Willie Penix and Louis James Penix; two sisters, Sarah Penix Goodwin and Betsie Mae Penix Smith; and one granddaughter, April Tremese Collier.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lillie Brown Penix of Moultrie; two daughters, Annie Penix Collier and husband Robert Collier Jr. and Janie Penix and friend Charlie Sanders, all of Moultrie; one sister, Mary Smith of Macon; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
