William Henry Ruch, well known resident of the Chewsville district, died at his home there, Sunday evening at 10:15 of complication, after an illness of 3 months, aged 81 years.
Born and reared near Beaver Creek, he was the son of Charles and Mary (Stotler) Ruch. He lived in the Chewsville district most of his life, where he was a member of the Chewsville EUB Church and Men's Bible Class.
He is survived by sister, Mrs. Joseph Fiery, Fairview; 5 foster grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to the Funeral Home of A.K. Coffman where services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2, the Rev. Homer Kendall officiating. Interment in the Smithsburg Cemetery Mausoleum.
