Mary Goodwin

Mary Ada Goodwin, 84, of Springville died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at her residence.

Her husband of 38 years, Clyde Goodwin, survives.

Her funeral will be graveside at 10 a.m. Saturday in Forrest Hill Cemetery East in Memphis with Forrest Hill Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be an hour before the service.

Born in Springville on Jan. 18, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Unice and Lula Hart.

She was a former member of Bartlett Baptist Church, an avid bowler and enjoyed yard work and gardening. A family member said she was a wonderful wife, mom, aunt and grandmother. She worked at Memphis Engine Rebuilders before retiring.

She also leaves two sons: Charles (Ruth) Dyer of Camden and Mike (Laura) Dyer of Memphis; a daughter: Theresa (Randy) Smalley of Bartlett; two stepsons: David (Ann) Godwin of Holly Springs, Miss., and Randy Goodwin of Covington; a stepdaughter: Vicky (Lindsey) Cox of Bernie, Mo.; a brother: Raymond Hart of Paris; a sister: Imogene (Ted) Wagon of Paris; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
