Cree A. Gossard, 75, of Shippensburg, formerly of Carlisle, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2005, at her home.
She was born on July 4, 1929, in Dry Run and was a daughter of the late Elmer F. and Nettie B. (Coons) Brown.
She was the widow of the late Harold E. Gossard, who died in 1973.
She was a homemaker and had attended church services at the Salvation Army in Carlisle. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose Lodge 2500 and Women of the Minnequa Club, both in Shippensburg.
She was preceded in death by a son, Warren Gossard; and a grandson, Ryan Bailey.
She is survived by a son, Larry E. Gossard of Elliottsburg; daughters Patricia A. Miller of Shippensburg, Sharon C. Bailey of Carlisle and Lucinda K. Justice of Garrison, Ky.; sisters Dorothy Shoap of Shippensburg and Catherine Whistler of Carlisle; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 31, at 10:30 a.m. in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday, May 30, from 7 to 8 p.m. and also Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
