Born Feb. 28, 1920, in Peoria to Burley and Ida Lance Dansby, he married Ida M. Lipke on Dec. 22, 1950, in Bartonville. She died March 26, 2002, in Peoria.
He also was preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Richards, on Dec. 25, 2003.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary (and Walter) Didesch of Washington; one son, Donald (and Doris) of California; one brother, Donald of Peoria; and one sister, Fern Wrenn of Bartonville.
He was a World War II Army veteran, serving with the 24th Infantry in the Philippines.
He was a supervisor at Peoria Packing and later worked in the netting department at Keystone Steel & Wire Co. for 28½ years, retiring in 1982.
Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
