Peter Gorham was born in Clifden Ireland, Galway County. He with this parents Thomas and Ann Gorham and a least one sister Sarah came to the states in 1865. They arrived in PA and settled in Ashely. He married Ann Gorham from Round Stone Ireland Galway County. They had 6 children - Ann, Daniel, Anthony, Patrick, Thomas and Sarah. Peter died in a coal mining accident in 1886 and was brought home on a door and placed in the parlor of the family home. I was told that he worked for the Glenn Alden Coal Mine.
