Mrs. Bessie E. Baker, Springfield, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital following an illness of several weeks. She was 78 years old.
She was born June 12, 1880, in Macoupin County and lived most of her life in Springfield. Her husband, Fred P. Baker, died in 1946. Mrs. Baker was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Lucille, at home; Mrs. Paul J. Siebert; brother, Daniel R. Buck, all of Springfield.
Services at Bisch Memorial Home. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
