Mr. Carlton ODay “Rusty” Hinson, Jr., 69, of Lancaster passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at his home. He was born March 25, 1945 in Charleston, SC, a son of the late Carlton ODay Hinson, Sr. and Ethel Lee Dunn Hinson. Mr. Hinson is the owner of Rusty’s Grill in Lancaster.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Hinson will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 2 pm at St. Luke United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill McCown and Rev. Dr. Eddie Usher officiating. Burial will be private.

Mr. Hinson is survived by his wife, Judy Craig Hinson of Lancaster; a son, Bryan Hinson of Raleigh, NC; three daughters, Jodi Bowker and her wife Linda of Lancaster, Jackie Eidt and her husband Manfred of Natchez, MS, and Heather Wimmer and her husband Jonathan of Germany; a brother, Larry Hinson and his wife Vicki of Lancaster; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Hinson; and two sisters, Linda Hinson Day and Sylvia Hinson Beckham.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at St. Luke United Methodist Church and other times at the home of Rusty and Judy.
