Born in Richland County, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur T. and Cora Ellisor Ward High.
She was a retired government employee and a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, the Wesley Fellowship Class, the Lupo Circle and the 39-plus Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Merrie C. Bernard of Columbia; a foster daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Mildred) Groce of San Antonio, Texas; and a brother, Lake Erie High, Sr. of West Columbia.
Services will be held at 10:30 a. m. Monday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p. m. to 7:30 p. m. Sunday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel.
