In her early years, Beverly worked as a waitress at the Airport Inn in Rushville. She always enjoyed work, taking pride in it and worked a variety of jobs throughout the years. For many years she and her husband dedicated themselves to the newspaper business delivering the Rushville Republican, Shelbyville News and Indianapolis Star. It became a family affair as all of their children had a delivery route at one point in their lives.
Her lasting legacy will be her family. Always partial to children, she often cared for her nieces and nephews in addition to her own children. As a young mother, she loved to do embroidery, crochet, quilt and make rag rugs. She was a fantastic cook, impeccable housekeeper and had a life-long love of all flowers.
Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Charles Palmer of Manilla, Fred & wife Deana Palmer of Blue Ridge, Keith Palmer & companion Sharon Asher of Manilla, daughters, Katie & husband Tom Newlin and Mary & husband Jack Palmer both of Shelbyville, a niece that she raised as her own, Melissa & husband Tom Agnello of Rushville, a brother, Robert Garrison of Shelbyville and a sister, Marjorie Boggs of Lexington, KY, 12 grandchildren, Bobby, Junior, Chris, Morton, David, Brandon, Natasha, Cheryl, Nicholas, Jayden and Shelby Palmer and Michael Agnello, three great grandchildren, Collin, Gaige & Faith Palmer, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Lloyd Palmer and brothers, Richard and Charles Garrison.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, March 5 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Pastor Dennis Hirschauer presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 3 until 7 PM on Sunday.
Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
