FRANK EWING

Frank Ewing, 82, 519 S. Chestnut, died this morning at the Allen County Hospital. Born at Godfrey, Mr. Ewing farmed in the Bayard-Mildred community until he retired in 1943 to make his home in Iola.

He leaves his wife of the home; six sons, Earnest of Iola, Raymond of La Harpe, John of Geyserville, CA, Ralph of Erie, Leonard of Humboldt, and Everett of Ottawa; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Caine, Annapolis, CA and Mrs. Leona McCullough, Iola; 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Three children preceded him in death.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Lawton Chambers at 2:30 p.m., Sunday in the Waugh Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Mildred.

Frank's 2nd wife was Nancy Jane (Capps) Yocham-Ewing-Neff.

Raymond Leroy & Beverly Jane (Wells) Ewing have submitted information which indicates that Florence Louise Ewing (1926-1926) and her brothers, Elmer Frank Ewing (1927-1927) and Albert Eugene Ewing (1930-1930) are all buried here at the foot of their grandparents' plots - John Franklin "Frank" Ewing, Sr. (1876-1958), and Martha Lee "Forna" Richards (1881-1930)
