Edith Madlyn Moffett, 86, of Montrose, IA, passed away August 8, 2007, at Fort Madison Community Hospital, Fort Madison, IA.

Edith was born May 19, 1921 at Bennett, CO, the daughter of Perry F. and Annie Green Lancaster.

She was a homemaker and helped her husband with his work on a dairy farm.

She was married October 20, 1939, to Charles Edgar Moffett, in Memphis, MO. He preceded her in death September 1984.

Edith is survived by two sons, Gary Moffett of Ft. Madison, IA, and Terry (Sue) Moffett of Montrose, IA; one grandson; two granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Linda Moffett of Colorado Springs, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and one sister.

Visitation was held on August 10, 2007 at King-Lynk Funeral Home and Crematory. Following the visitation her body will be cremated. A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at King-Lynk Funeral Home and Crematory, 3507 Avenue L, Fort Madison, IA 52627.
