He moved to West Central Florida and is buried in Salem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Sidney, Hillsborough County, Florida. When the 1940 UNITED STATES FEDERAL CENSUS was conducted, John T. jones, then 63 years of age, resided in a Farm House he owned with his wife, Alice I. Jones, then age 50, their address was listed as North Of Temple Terrace Road, Hillsborough County, Florida and he told the Census official he had been living in that same house in the year 1935 and he said he was self-employed as a Citrus Grover.
