A.E. 'Jack' Swaner
SACRAMENTO - A.E. Jack Swaner, of 2810 Laurel Street in Napa, died here Wednesday at the age of 78.
Mr. Swaner was born and reared in London, KY, in 1919 he moved to California and settled in Taft. In 1935 he and his family moved to Coalinga.
He lived there for 10 years and at that time moved to Napa, where he was employed as a plumber at Napa State Hospital. Mr. Swaner retired in 1965.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby, of Napa, and by a son, Jack, of San Francisco.
Other survivors include four sisters, Lida Rust of Modesto, Ollie Howard of Florida, Glennie Johnson of Kentucky and Eunice Raymer of North Carolina, and five granddaughters.
In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday at the Chapel of the Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail. The Rev. William McCord will officiate.
Burial will be in the Green Cemetery at Bakersfield.
