Age 90, the son of the late Lawrence and Agrepina Sofronov Evanoff.

Fritz was a graduate of McKean High School and Westminister College. During WWII, he served with the US Navy and fought in the battle of Iwo Jima. Fred was an insurance agent for over 40 years, being affiliated with Connecticut General Life Insurance. He was also very active in his community of Lawrence Park. Fritz was also a longtime District 10 official, having worked both high school football and basketball games. He was active in the Russian Orthodox Old Believers Church of the Holy Trinity, where his brother Lawrence is the priest. He belonged to the Alumni Association at Westminster College, and helped oversee the Evanoff Scholarship fund. He loved the outdoors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Luke, Harry, Peter, Michael, and Charles Evanoff, and by three sisters, Kilikaya Shalkovsky, Nellie Ferrick, and Anne Gauriloff.

Fritz is survived by his wife, Frasha Zatkoff Evanoff, along with his four children, Susan Bartlett and her husband Keith of Erie; Fred G. Evanoff and his wife Rana of McKean; Harry L. Evanoff and his wife Joanne of Erie; and Michael P. Evanoff and his wife Karen of Rescue, Calif.; sister; Anita Robson and brother; Fr. Lawrence Evanoff; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in St. John the Divine Cemetery.
