Adam Fenning Funeral Tuesday

A funeral for Adam Fenning, 75, Gering, who died Friday, was held Tuesday in Boley Dennis Gering Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Barklie Johnson officiating and burial in Fairview cemetery. A memorial was established to the American Lung Association.

He was born Oct. 28, 1906 in Alliance. He attended school in Gering and married Marie Wamboldt Dec. 11, 1926. He farmed in the area until 1941 when he moved to Lynwood, Calif., to work for the Pacific Iron and Steel Co., there for 30 years. He retired in 1971 and returned to Gering. He married Catherine Meyer, Sept 9, 1980 at Woodstock, Ill. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church at Scottsbluff.

Survivors include his wife; daughter, Mrs. Gloria Staley of San Diego; stepdaughter Mrs. Dorothy Chase of Hales Corner, Wisc.; brothers Henry of Gering and Roy of Lake Oswego, Ore.; sisters Juanita Fenning and Margaret Bosse, both of Gering and Christina Johnson of Weiser, Idaho; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
