Donlan R. Noojin, 87, of Beatrice died at Beatrice Health and Rehabilitation on Sunday, September 21, 2014. She was born February 2, 1927 at Deshler, NE and graduated from Deshler High School in 1945.
She moved to Beatrice in 1957 and worked at Formfit for over 17 years and was also a cook at the American Legion for 30 years until her retirement. Following her retirement she worked part-time in the kitchen at the Beatrice Manor and the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center and had been a foster grandparent.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Beatrice.
She enjoyed crocheting, music and Husker football. Survivors include three sons, Dan Magnus and wife Mary of Springfield, MO, Tom Noojin and wife Verjean of Beatrice and John Noojin and wife Tammy of Deshler; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois Voss and husband Don of St. Joseph, MO; many nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Emma Atenhan Magnus and one brother, Roger Magnus.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Pastor Douglas D. Irmer officiating.
Private inurnment of the cremains will be at the Deshler Cemetery at Deshler, NE.
A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 A.M. on Saturday in the fellowship room of the church. A memorial has been established to the Foster Grandparent Program. Cremation has taken place and there will be no viewing.
A register book will be available for signatures on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. and then at the church one hour preceding the service on Saturday.
